Guild Wars eighth anniversary celebrations start Monday with dodgeball, Rollerbeetle racing, & special item drops

Subsequent week's throwdown will mark the eighth year of Guild Wars' existence, made extra special by an upgrade to a brand new venue: y'know, Guild Wars 2. Games & goods await in the course of a party the likes of which Shing Jea Monastery has never seen.

Between April 22nd & April 29th, ArenaNet will open up the Shing Jea Boardwalk for business - so long as it is the party kind - and spread the goodwill via outposts all across Tyria: in Lion's Arch, Kamadan, and the Impressive Temple of Balthazar.

Talk to Captain Li Sah at any of those locations to be transported to the Dragon Arena, the particularly temporary home of Tyrian dodgeball. Or if you'd prefer a spot of Rollerbeetle Racing, talk to the Rollerbeetle trainer.

Beyond the games, there'll be drops throughout the week. Exclusive items will include sparklers, creme brulee, rice wine & speed-boosting Sugary Blue Drinks. Oh, and you will need to chat with the mysterious Ciera, Sworn to Fire at Embark Reach. She'll be handing out anniversary Ranger pets, Hounds of Balthazars, like they're going out of fashion. Which would be preposterous - they're brand new.

In a nice touch, ArenaNet will be providing the most venerable gw2 gold player characters - those eight-years-old or over - a gift card, and their choice of birthday gift boxes from earlier anniversary events. OAPs will want to head to one of the 4 party sites & look for the Xunlai Gift Giver.

"Thanks again to each and every one of you for your continued assistance over the years," say ArenaNet. "We wish you the finest of adventures in the year ahead. Get pleasure from the festivities!"

How long have you been around Tyria & its environs? I suspect there'll be a lot of newcomers enjoying a Birthday Cupcake this year, don't you?

To improve your equipment, you maybe in need of Guild Wars 2 gold, you can go to www.gw2gold.net, we will provide you with the cheapest price and safest delivery.

Guild Wars 2 living story saga continues April 30 with 'Flame & Frost: Retribution'

ArenaNet is teasing the next update in the ongoing Guild Wars 2: Flame & Frost living story. The next chapter, due out April 30, has been titled "Retribution." We're if the name refers to the norn & charr finally fighting back against the Molten Alliance. About time, in the event you ask me.

In the last update, The Razing, we met 2 new characters: Braham & Rox. They'll likely be joining this next PVE story update as well, leading Guild Wars 2 gold players into the enemy territory and deep underground. ArenaNet is also hinting at a number of kind of "hybrid" final boss, likely combining dredge tech and Flame Legion magic somehow.

As of now, all we have is a teaser page and this brief description:

In secret foundries deep underneath the Shiverpeaks, the Molten Alliance forges deadly new weaponry that combine the fiery power of the Flame Legion with the iron could of the dredge. There, Alliance weapon smiths test their creations on innocent captives, perfecting their cruel technology until it's ready to unleash on all of Tyria.

In the last chapter of the Flame & Frost series, you will strike at the heart of the Molten Alliance with your comrades Rox the charr and the norn Braham. Take the battle into the enemy's weapons facilities and defeat a final hybrid menace in contrast to any Tyria has ever noticed!

No word however on what other modifications will be made with this subsequent content update. Stay tuned.

Guild Wars 2's leaderboards are up & running

Guild Wars 2's major March update introduced leaderboards as an abstract notion. Factors were being tracked & ranks calculated, however we couldn't really see what that all amounted to. Those of you who have actually been unsure of your self-worth up 'til now can rest easy, although: The leaderboards have gone live. You can check them out independently.

Right now the leaderboards show the top 100 Guild Wars 2 gold players for PvP, WvW, & achievement points. The PvP boards are driven by tournament matches, which players will need to have participated in at least ten of before their stats are tracked by the leaderboard.

The team is looking forward to expanding the functionality of leaderboards in the future, although at least we've got a few sort of stay with start measuring ourselves by.

Relive the 80s with the Super Adventure Box for Guild Wars 2

NCSOFT and ArenaNet are delighted to continue the excellent tradition of larking about on 1st April with the introduction of the "Super Adventure Box".

The most current in a growing list of regular, gratis updates, the "Super Adventure Box" turns Guild Wars 2's world of Tyria into a 1980s-style videogame. The update, arriving today, introduces players to a 3D land of pixelated rabbits, giant mushrooms and retro music.

"It began out as a fun side project concept", laughed Colin Johanson,Guild Wars 2 gold Game Director at ArenaNet. "Originally, we were going to have a laugh with a fake 8-bit update, in spite of this the more the team worked on it the more we realised we had something genuinely cool on our hands. We figured; the  gaming community are honestly going to love this, let's enhance on the idea of the Living World in Guild Wars 2 & make it for genuine".

"We have turned the clock back 30 years", joked Daniel Dociu, ArenaNet's multi award-winning Art Director. "With retro-style videogames such a part of the Zeitgeist, we are excited to marry Guild Wars 2's cutting-edge gameplay with childhood nostalgia. The results are hilarious!"

The Super Adventure Box features:

Super-Hot Graphics: Featuring 'cutting-edge' graphics with more than 256 colours, the Super Adventure Box is a visual feast for the GW2 gold gaming connoisseur. Your character has never explored a world like this.

Awesome New Levels: 3 levels full of pogo mushrooms, platform puzzles, bunny tornadoes, and more. Don't fret about taking a tumble - we have turned off the falling harm and turned up the fun!

Large Fun, Big Rewards: You'll earn "baubles" by slaying varmints and exploring the virtual world of the Super Adventure Box. Exchange baubles for weapons & skill-sets by talking to the shopkeepers inside the Box, or redeem your baubles for particular Super Adventure Box weapon skins from asuran inventor, Moto.

Guild Wars 2 adding Flame & Frost: The Razing update subsequent week

On March 26th, the third installment of the 4-part Flame & Frost series in Guild Wars two erupts on servers. In this update, the land of Tyria will come under attack by an army composed of the dredge plus the charr Flame Legion, whose sole purpose is to 100% raze the land & destroy everyone in the way. This threat will burst by means of the fiery portals in the Shiverpeaks, and denizens of the land need help to defend themselves to steer clear of annihilation.

A lot of new features accompany this update, giving Guild Wars 2 gold players many ways to help neutralize this threat, from 2 new NPCs whose stories & missions send gw2 gold players into the fray to dredge-constructed spy outposts that must be discovered & destroyed. World-vs.-world gets a facelift with a new progression system that consists of new abilities and the elimination of culling. About a week after The Razing goes lives, players will have the ability to peruse the new GW2 leaderboards, where WvW ratings, PvP player results, and total achievement points will all be included.

Thinking of getting the game, but asking yourself about end-game content

So I am looking into picking up Guild Wars 2, but I am worried there is not a lot to occupy players once they hit the level cap. I'm used to WoW (and after years & years of it, I want a modify, which is why I did not get Pandas), so for me, end-game content is sort of an all-out loot grind experience, running high level dungeons to get powerful gear... which you usually use to run even more challenging dungeons for even more powerful gear. I'm also used to grinding PvP to get a different set of gear for that certain purpose. Naturally I don't anticipate Guild Wars two to have that type of established end-game yet (it took WoW many years and expansions to get to that point, & at this point they are sort of working backwards...), but I need to make certain I have a lot to do once I hit the level cap.

My roomie used to play Guild Wars 2 gold, and he still comes back every couple of weeks. He says that GW2 does not have a good deal of gear to grind after, except quite a few cosmetic items, although there are several craftable high-tier gear sets that take months of dungeon grinding to make. Although what about you really active GW veterans? How do you fill your time? What is the end game honestly like? Should you guys assure me there is a sustainable end-game here (& obviously I will also level alts!), I will picking it up tomorrow. Thanks for the help!

First of all GW2 is about AS Little grind as doable. Gear from dungeons are for looks only. You could readily craft or buy top lvl gear. Only reason to do dungeons is for income, in the event you are working on a legendary or you need the look of that dungeon gear.

End game for PvE right now doesn't honestly exist (unless you need to get every legendary) The real end Guild Wars 2 item game is in the PvP scope of the game. Unforunatly sPvP is not as well known as Anet had hoped, nonetheless there are nonetheless a lot of folks doing it. Mostly men and women view World Vs World Vs World as the end game which is a 3way server PvP battle in sperate maps 24/7 for a week.

There is FotM, Fractils of the Mist, which is a continuosly repeating arbitrary dungeons that get harder the further you go. This is right now 1 of only 3 approaches to get Ascended Gear (which is a step further in stats than Exotic, but only accessories exist as Ascended right now) the other ways to get Ascended are by way of Day-to-day/monthly quests and the Mystic Forge.

Guild Wars 2 to focus on escalating programs, aiding small guilds

Has Guild Wars 2 become overly convoluted since its launch last year? This really is the question that Forbes posed to ArenaNet Lead Designer Isaiah Cartwright, who admits that the team debates the question frequently.

"Since we have been adding a whole lot of reward systems, we have seen an boost in the number of currencies out there," Cartwright explained. "Although we're getting toward the tail end of the number of techniques we feel that we can put in the Guild Wars 2 gold game. We'll be genuinely working on improving the current methods we have and making them more robust."

Cartwright also addressed how the team is catering to guild content, saying that ArenaNet wants to give more of a improve to smaller guilds: "We know there was an original influence fee that was especially high that a large amount of smaller guilds weren't in a position to pursue it, so we're looking into ways that we can boost that, make smaller guilds more able to compete on the influence gathering region."

Arena.Net Keeps Pushing Out New Content

Ever since its release in November, Guild Wars 2 has been going by means of a great deal of modifications inside the very first 6 months of introduction. I'm not certain whether this is a frantic push to keep things interesting or sheer boredom on the dev teams, but they're going for the Guild Wars 2 gold it seems. The current living story event, Flame and Frost has been adding commonly content since January, presently sitting at the half-way point in the story.

Flame and Frost has added a brand new story line implying that the Flame Legion, the antagonistic fire-worshipping Charr, and the Dredge, a tyrannical mole-like people, have joined forces to try and conquer the Northern regions, forcing other races to seek refuge in the south. As a part of the fighting force of players, you'll be tasked with driving this incursion back so that prosperity can continue in the north... well, as much as 1 can expect as we've still got 1 of the world-ending dragons living up there.

Many new additions & adjustments have cropped up in the mean time, though sadly, none of which included a P2P trade method, or Guild Halls for that matter. Still, those who have come to fruition are nice small additions, no less.

Day-to-day achievements have changed a bit, mainly with the PvE Daily's, as now you have a bigger selection to decide upon from for certain PvE events, allowing you to do things like killing a Champion-grade monster, to gathering many supplies. Coupled with the Living Story portion is the addition of the Living Story achievement which when completed earns you rewards & titles, as a part of the existing Flame & Frost event, you'll be helping refugees and fighting off conquering forces. With completing comes earning a new currency referred to as Laurels which let you purchase items from precise Laurel vendors, from particular infusions, armors, and other such items. You'll gain one laurel per completed day-to-day achievement, & 10 laurels per one completed monthly achievement.

Fractals of the Mists, implemented last year throughout the Lost Shores event, has observed an update to where joining a lower level player earns you more karma, however nonetheless only gives you the same amount of rewards as the lowest Fractal level player in the group. While there were disconnection issues which forced you out of the Fractals, and your team all the weaker for it, you can now reconnect to your team without this hindrance, together with connect to a group that is already in the Fractals event.

Guesting makes it possible for for GW2 gold players to log into a different world shard, allowing them play with buddies on one of a kind servers, without making a character move. With guesting comes restrictions, of course, such as being region locked, WvW access limited to your home world, allowed only 2 different worlds to access in a given 24 hour period, and any guild influence obtained added to your home-world guild. Guesting negates the gem fee of a full transfer, although with limitations, as listed already, so should you have a buddy on a distinct server who doesn't need to pay the fee to switch, you can still play with them for a limited time, and my guest as primarily as you wish, as long as the server isn't full.

In tandem with these new additions comes Guild Missions. These are a new mission subset that allows for guilds to partake in a persistent instance for different group-focused challenges. Between jumping puzzles to speed issues to resolve, you'll earn merits and guild-focused upgrades, in addition to further Guild Missions.

PvP has been given some rather basic modifications, a rotation alter up and round count have been altered, although I'm not a enormous PvP guy myself. They added a new map in there, so you'll at least get to see quite a few new scenery in there. 1 of the more fascinating, & probably most game-altering is the removal of character culling in WvW, instead using place-holder models to change load times for the better.

More particulars might be gleaned from the Game Update notes posted on the Guild Wars two event page, incorporating World Polish updates that have aided in balancing everything dungeons, story missions, player classes, & general bugs. So far the alterations haven't been too grandiose, playing more along the lines of a DLC pack, barring the unnecessary charge of admission for something so small, though the end of the year will see an expansion, as what was announced last year. Loads of are speculating what will be included, in spite of this it the general talk is that of a new class and playable race. Numerous hope to see new weapons added to the armory, such as two-handed axes.

For this gamer, I would not mind buying an extra character slot or two if I got to play as a Tengu Ranger, or Kodan Guardian.

Expect more updates at this Living Story continues to grow.

How Guild Wars 2 plans to survive

It is true that Guild Wars 2 have no plans to expand at present. Many players may concern that what will the Guild Wars 2 do in order to survive in the MMO's competition. As far as I am concerned, the ArenaNet is working to reduce queue times for World vs World matches as well as increase the number of Guild Wars 2 gold players, and they also have set PvP to receive a massive overhaul; after added this matchmaking, they will soon add the ratings and a leaderboard to prepare the game for a potential future inclusion as an eSport.

But I think that if the ArenaNet can expand things like the new guild system to be more sand-box like with self-generated content, that may be able to escape such trappings.

I'm still currently playing this GW2 gold game in hopes of an expansion. Here I really do wish ArenaNet do their best to provide more interesting contents for our players. But if anything fallout from each of their attempts at walking the line, as with the new dailies and guild missions, is somewhat entertaining to watch.

Guild Wars 2 WvW March patch will "turn off culling thoroughly"

It is a astounding day to be a WvW'er over in Guild Wars 2, as Habib Loew confirms that the subsequent patch will banish the "culling phenomenon" from the world of Tyria for fantastic. Also in are a brand new ranks and achievements typically for WvW which unlock new WvW skills. Habib also promised that they are not done with WvW, with plenty more planned for future patches to come.

In an interview with MMORPG, Habib Loew a gameplay programmer who focuses on the WvW aspect of Guild Wars two, talked about the new additions.

First up was by far the most debated & controversial topic: culling:

"Culling is basically a process by which the server chooses to not tell players about certain other Guild Wars 2 gold players. It was information on limiting the breakdown of resources from a client to server standpoint. The concern with it was that a big battle would erupt & you would not see other players. It definitely had its drawbacks.

The alter in March will turn off Culling thoroughly. You'll now see every character within range of you. There will be numerous one of a kind choices for how other players are presented to you, on the client side that you could pick out from so you can control how it works for you."

That ought to mean that you won't die to the invisible zergs that rampage across the battlefield. By the sounds of it, you could pick & prioritise certain effects/players to suit your desires, however more will be revealed in March,

Next up is a brand new sense of advancement in WvW with ranks and abilities:

"There are 2 methods to earn what we're calling World XP right now. Those are joining WvW Events and killing other players. As you earn more World XP your rank will go up. Every sum of World XP with give you a rank and that will give you a brand new title in WvW. For example right now you only see the "Invader" title. These titles will modify with your rank. With each rank you will earn points to cash in on WVW capabilities. The abilities are general passive in the starting with capabilities like doing more damage to guards or taking less harm from siege."

Sounds interesting, & more importantly doesn't deviate from what's fun in a WvW.

"Right now there are for the most part passive abilties going in with this patch. We have capabilities like: being able to carry more supply, being more effective against particular varieties of NPCs, being able to do more siege damage, or being more resistent to siege harm. Once again this is our first patch so as we go further there will be more active capabilities added. Those are an incredibly attentive balancing act to add and we need to get them right for the GW2 gold players. Not only is it about balance, however there are design concerns as well, like where do we put the buttons on the UI? We need to take all of that into account.

With the up-front release there are no class or guild restrictions. These abilities need to be accessible to everybody. We certainly want players to picture the abilities as specializing your role in WvW not your class. Perhaps you play more in the siege role or in the close combat role. These abilities are there to enhance those. It is everything regarding your role in WvW regardless of the class you play."

It all sounds pretty promising, with more to accomplish plus the threat of culling purged, WvW is looking as wholesome as ever. It doesn't cease here however, as Habib echoes with this statement:

"The biggest message I have for WvW players is that this is not the last patch we are doing. We have a lot more planned. Plenty of stuff is queued up for future patches. We are honestly taking the time to make sure we get things right before we release them. Also, we do not want to make the mistake of making too lots of adjustments at one time which could break parts of WvW."

Doable modify in WvW

Colin: Orange swords in WvW won't show if there are fewer than ~25 men and women after February's update (unsure exact quantity)
appears to be getting positive feedback so far, despite the fact that I haven't read by means of all of the comments however. thoughts?

This is possibly a fantastic counter to the 'zerg' nature of WvW right now.
It forces Guild Wars 2 gold players to have scouts & to have modest battles rather than one giant deathball that goes around all the swords and kills everything.
It will mean players will are compelled to co-ordinate.

Seeing a lot of the more 'hardcore' WvW who were not precisely the most welcoming to new players could be an difficulty.

I dont know about this....
A group of five can put up 2 guild catapults & tear down a wall speedily (enemy must see white swords then find the enemy). For a group of 5 to tear down the walls of an unupgraded tower take approx 4 minutes if not noticed. No swords will be displayed for less than ~ 25 GW2 gold players? Thats gonna be a bit dangerous.

I guess this is Anets answer to the percieved zerg difficulty. This will force groups to split up and have a further emphasis on scouts.
IMO, zergs werent a important concern in T1 as smaller groups were favored by more organized servers/guilds. I dont know much concerning the other tiers.

Guild Wars 2 - Bringing Antialiasing to the game

I do not know how I missed this as I'm type of an AA whore.. and anyone that has played any game with 4x SGSSAA then plays a Guild Wars 2 gold game that only supports FXAA can honestly recognise how huge a distinction this makes.. anyway this will let you get many correct MSAA + TrAA going on the game and is much much better than running fxaa or SMAA injector.. also in the report it tells you, you could use 2x SGSSAA but do not bother the AA bit you use does not support correct SGSAA so it doesn't look as fantastic as it will need to & drains performance more than using 4x MSAA + 4x Supersampling(transperancy) here's the piece of content.

Guild Wars 2 has FXAA built into the game, which is far superior to FXAA tacked on by means of video drivers. It also offers SSAA built into the GW2 gold game. If you don't like either of those, then you could likely force MSAA or SSAA by way of video drivers without needing external hardware.

Combining MSAA with SSAA is likely to be counterproductive, however it depends on exactly how it is applied. MSAA & SSAA do the same basic items, with the distinction being that MSAA is applied selectively (at edges of triangles) while SSAA is applied to everything. Dependent on specifically how they are applied, it is feasible that 4x MSAA + 4x SSAA could be precisely the same as 4x SSAA, or that the final image could be precisely the same as 4x SSAA while doing extra stuff for MSAA adds a larger efficiency hit. It is also plausible that there may be implicit 16x MSAA applied at triangle edges, which is wandering into ridiculous overkill.

What can a fan do to get that interest back into playing?

Would genuinely like comments from those that nonetheless play and still take pleasure in the game however I know that will be hard.

I have 3 level 80's, 100 exploration on 2 of them, and no desire to run fractals or other dungeons since my gear is the best I can get on all 3 toons. Minus a legendary which I've no desire in getting. I also no longer fancy myself a purveyor of PvP or WvW so thsoe are outs.

My question is there something in the game I might be doing to get my joy back? Maybe I burnt myself out yet I have no desire to use a 3rd party website to arrange dungeons, I've at all times been a huge proponent of a Dungeon Queing system particularly one like WoW. GW2 portrayed itself as a Guild Wars 2 gold game where dungeons would be easier to run because of no reliance on having to have specific classes though not having a dungeon finder exaserbates the circumstance just as much here as any other game lacking this feature.

Was really hoping the new live envent was worthy but it was downright silly in that I finished it in 1 night.

If your concept of a Sandbox is open FFA Full Loot PvP, full crafted world with minimal support for something combat then your sandbox concepts are bad! Sandbox denotes open world, non-linear gaming PERIOD!

should you aren't into PVP its hard to convey due to the fact thats my endgame in themepark games.. also fractals is lots of fun just running through them even in the event you aren't gong for asended gear.. my only suggestion is maybe try a major WvW guild or sPVP guild and get a number of good players to join up with and try it out then.. honestly adjustments the game when you have a excellent group to run with in PVP.. however in case you already have 3 80s & 100% explor on them all i'd say you put Plenty of hours into this gw2 gold game already and maybe it would be exceptional for a break... whilst the new guild quests are coming at the end of the month you might try those out.. NW beta is coming soon also.. hoping to get a crack at the foundry:P

oh also joining a major guild also helps a ton with dungeons however thats a given for all MMOs:)

If I had a mine shaft, I don't think I would just abandon it. There is got to be a better way.

I'm all PVE so unless they start adding DE metas like mad people I do not see how they are going to get me back. Dungeons are not for me. Got a lot of other games that do just that do not need a further one of the factors I acquired the game was it was supposed to be a change from that design.

I cannot say anything other then wait until what they have coming in March hopefully it will be as extravagant as they claim it will be.
So far I'm not seeing much that interests me anymore.
Even the carrot on the stick is gone for me.

Guild Wars 2 adjusts dynamic leveling process

ArenaNet's Isaiah Cartwright, lead game designer on Guild Wars 2, has posted a new dev blog to address the recent changes to the game's dynamic leveling program. In the establish of the game that went live on January 28th, the team made two major alterations to the way dynamic leveling works. First, the devs "altered the formula for how attributes are calculated when the dynamic leveling adjustment method scales [players' levels] down." This is intended to make players' returns to low-level zones "more fun and better balanced." Secondly, the team "transformed the formula for how rewards are calculated when scaled down to make it more gratifying for high-level Guild Wars 2 gold players to visit lower-level locations."

Cartwright claims that the objective of these adjustments is to "more accurately reflect the attributes [players] ought to have at that level for a similarly geared character" & adds that even if the modifications will increase the difficulty of many lower-level zones, the team desires to make sure that "all locations of Guild Wars 2 [are] thrilling and fun for players of any level." & last still without doubt not least, Cartwright notes that "in 2013, 1 of [ArenaNet's] main goals is to add more content to map of all levels, as well as stronger reward structures for playing across all locations in the world."

Guild Wars 2 launches "Living Story", first arc accessible now

Guild Wars 2 has introduced a dedicated development team for the MMORPG's "Living Story" - brief-term events with long-term impact on the Guild Wars 2 gold game's world.

"The job of the Living Story team is to bring the world to life. On an ongoing basis, we'll spin out story threads that will introduce you to new heroic characters, mysterious plot twists, and dramatic moments that have an effect on the world," narrative designer Angel McCoy wrote in a weblog post.

Living Story implies dynamic events, some of which will "adjust up what's happening in the world and to add to the enhancing story and challenge of the gw2 gold game".

McCoy said players won't be demanded to play the content, which will only be available for limited quantities of time, but are likely to be looking into what takes place to the characters subsequent.

A lot of Living Story arcs will take months to complete, but players will not know in advance how numerous events will be part of the narrative chain - they'll just happen, as it were, instead of being showcased as a quest string. Arcs will feature recurring characters, are distinct from holidays or considerable events, and offer their own achievements technique.

The 1st Living Story arc is referred to as Flame and Frost and kicked off on January 28 with teaser content. Players can join in by volunteering to help the refugees from the Shiverpeaks in the Wayfarer Foothills & Diessa Plateau. Study more about the arc on a dedicated page.

Thanks.

Guild Wars 2 - January update: prologue to the event "Frost and Flame" starts new storyline

The developers from the online role-playing game Guild Wars 2 have published information about the events of the prologue "Frost and Flame", on the 28th January 2013 will start a multi-part event, and will be told in the course of the coming months, a whole new story. With the update coming also still a lot of other adjustments to game systems.

The developers of Guild Wars 2 started with the January update, on the 28th January 2013, also appears the prologue to a new event called "Flame and Frost". This event expands the gw2 gold game world in the course of a few months continuously to a new story that will captivate you. But first you want the developers of ArenaNet reveal what new features come with the January patch to the game.

For example, you can expect between 28 January and 4 February, the week of the temple of quiet storm, during which the paid tournaments with eight teams and three rounds are replaced by two teams and a round. After completing the PvP event of the hidden temple tower is added to the map rotation for free and paid tournaments.

For the PvE fans there is a new rotation daily successes, to provide more variety - a new hit counter you can not keep track. This new success laurels come as a reward for daily and monthly achievements. The success laurels in turn be used to purchase new equipment. There are five new auxiliary infusions and 30 Ascended amulets - the developers are confident that there is something for each hero.

New items are also used in the gem shop, amongst other cuddly Quaggan backpacks, witches' broom and a redesigned fun box. That the game is brought as a guest with the January update to Guild Wars 2 into play, is already known. This means that you with the update on other worlds you can play as your own.

But what exactly is behind the "Flame and Frost" event hides is, of course, largely unknown. Only so much can be revealed: In the prologue, "Flame and Frost: Introduction" collapses in the northern countries of the heavens and the earth trembles, from the ruins of their homes in the hills and on the Walker Diessa plateau creep Charr and Norn Refugees in search of a haven in the south. Your brave hero must therefore probably travel up north and see what heaven and earth brought into turmoil. The website for the January update you can find on the official website for Guild Wars 2.

Guild Wars 2 will allow players to visit other worlds with guesting beginning Jan. 28

Guild Wars 2 will add a new guesting feature on Jan. 28 that will permit players visit worlds other than their own home world without a full character transfer, in accordance with a post from community manager Martin Kerstein on the game's official site.

For the reason that ArenaNet is not moving gw2 gold player character data between servers, guesting is only accessible in the same genuine-world region as players' home world. Guesting players also cannot participate in World-versus-World events in the world they are going to, & any attempt to do so will result in players being sent back to their home world. Players wishing to participate in World-versus-World in a non-home world must perform a full world transfer.

KERSTEIN ADVISES PLAYERS TO Choose THEIR INTENDED HOME WORLD BEFORE GUESTING GOES LIVE ON JAN. 28 Because of Current TRANSFER RESTRICTIONS.

Players can guest on 2 different worlds at a time, & once a world has been guested on players can visit it for the next 24 hours as quite a few occasions as they need. Guesting onto full or incredibly-populated worlds will also boost the probability of a player being put in an overflow map.

To guest,Guild Wars 2 gold players must visit the character choose screen and decide on the "World Selection" choice at the bottom of the screen, then decide upon the world they wish to play in & choose "Guest." Players can pick any of their characters to send to the world, after which click the "Play" button.

The addition of guesting also brings with it the removal of zero cost world transfers. Kerstein advises players to choose their intended home world before guesting goes live on Jan. 28, as current restrictions permit only 1 world transfer every 7 days and players will are compelled to pay a gem fee to transfer. The fee will be dependent on the population of the world players are seeking transfer to.

New 'Lost Shores' Mini-Expansion Comes To 'Guild Wars 2'

New content and a new one-time event which promises to alter Tyria forever are coming to Guild Wars two this weekend.

ArenaNet has announced a new mini-expansion coming to Guild Wars 2 this Thursday.

The new "Lost Shores" content incorporates:

A mysterious zone known as the Southsun Cove, accessible to all Guild Wars 2 gold players regardless of level

A complicated new dungeon to conquer referred to as Fractals of the Mists
A new PvP map set within a Kodan dojo known as the Temple of the Silent Storm
New gear to gain, ranging from additional weapons skins to item enhancements to an additional tier of items between Exotic & Legendary which ArenaNet is calling Ascended

Crafting updates such as a brand new resource to harvest and 200 new recipes
A 1-time in-game event that will forever leave its mark on the world of Tyria, beginning Thursday, November 16 & ending Sunday, November 18.

All told, it sounds pretty robust for a gratis expansion. ArenaNet will also be providing a friend referral program at the expansion's launch, allowing Guild Wars 2 players to give buddies a gratis trial between November 15-18.

The event takes place this coming weekend and promises to modify many sectors of the game for fantastic which should be interesting. I also like the fact that we're getting more coastal content, more ships, giant crabs and such.

Here's the trailer:

On the one hand, new content is going to continue to be key to the gw2 gold game's success. The gameplay really grew on me for a while, although I feel as though I have hit something of a plateau where a number of of the events and actions in the game have begun to grow repetitive. I'm also having a difficult time genuinely connecting with any of the characters I have designed which possibly speaks somewhat to the game's lackluster story.

That being stated, it's pretty fantastic that ArenaNet is already releasing its 2nd content update & without doubt bodes well for the game's future.

The big event itself certainly sounds fascinating. It's being mentioned as a "monster invasion" style event, in which all characters will be scaled up to level 80 to be able to be in a position to participate. Here's the schedule of events:

Thursday, November 15, 9:00 a.m. PT - Zero cost trial period begins, update improve is released
Friday, November 16, 12:00 p.m. PT - One-time Lost Shores event begins
Sunday, November 18, 12:00 p.m. PT - Final event stage begins
Sunday, November 18, 10:00 p.m. PT - 1-time event & zero cost trial weekend ends

Guild Wars 2: PvP announcements on custom arenas

Although the next patch for the MMORPG Guild Wars 2 is a rather small update, but it should get some news in February 2013 for the PvP in Tyria. Game designer Jonathan Sharp of ArenaNet has revealed the official forum for Guild Wars 2, a couple of details.

Many players of online role-playing game Guild Wars 2 romp especially like in the epic battles that will offer them the PvP modes of MMORPGs. However, the current offer in the eyes of some fans is pretty weak. From the basic gw2 gold game designer Jonathan Sharp reveals the official forums for Guild Wars 2, which are being considered for changes and improvements to PvP. However, you will see them yet in January 2013, as the update to the beginning of the year rather smaller.

Thus the custom arenas remain a top priority for the developers. The feature can even create your cards and run on your own servers if they wish to play with friends. The ratings, matchmaking and leaderboards are working on the software developer's site also. The personal matchmaking each character is designed to allow the mechanics to pit two matching teams of heroes against one another. However, the matchmaking will not come in public matches but in tournament games to bear.

Furthermore, 1-vs-1-team matches in planning, in which two teams compete against each other and compete. It will be cheaper for you to accede to these 1-vs-1-matches, as if your going to equal an 8-vs-8-competitive, but the rewards are also adjusted accordingly and the 1-vs-1-less mode good turn out. The mode is then tested in the temple of silent storm. The general objective of the experience of the paid tournaments to be improved. The complete article by Jonathan Sharp You read in the forum to Guild Wars 2.

Guild Wars 2- fresh bans issued by ArenaNet

Guild Wars 2 is one of the most widely accepted MMOs ever made and if you are thinking of exploiting it, you shouldn't, for the reason that ArenaNet is keeping a close watch on hackers & glitchers to maintain a level playing field.

In accordance with a brand new report by Immensely Joystiq, they have issued fresh bans for people that exploited the gw2 gold game throughout the Wintersday holiday event.

What this glitch does is that it players to craft items utilizing 1 ectoplasm after which salvage them to get two in return. Having said that you cannot do the same now due to the fact the item's value has dropped down drastically.

"Any time you take one thing & can make 2, after which 4, after which 16 - ya gotta know that's just misguided," ArenaNet's Gaile Gray wrote.

"And to perform that action hundreds and hundreds of times? That's called exploitation, and that's against the User Agreement, the Rules of Conduct, and all that is holy.

"We've been more than kind, in the past, & everybody needs to own up to his/her errors and recognize: We all are part of the game economy, & individuals who exploit it are hurting the rest of us. Exploit closed. Worst offenders terminated. That is what has to occur to make items right for all of us."

Quit exploiting guys, it isn't right. Play the Guild Wars 2 gold game the appropriate way as intended. Tell us what you think in the comments section beneath.

Guild Wars 2 delivers permanent bans and what's going on

With certain games comes the risk of players trying to exploit aspects of it for their own benefit & "Guild Wars two" has been no one of a kind, with the punishment for such actions resulting in permanent bans.

According to a report from VG24/7 yesterday, a bunch of "Guild Wars two" players have actually been permanently banned as a result of them taking benefit of certain exploits that were revealed through the "Wintersday" event.

The exploit allowed players to craft items making use of 1 ectoplasm, which is a rare item in the gw2 gold game, and then salvage them to get two in exchange.

The players who have been banned have taken to Reddit to plead their instances with what has happened.

ArenaNet support rep Gaile Gray mentioned the those that were taking benefit of the exploit should've known it was wrong.

"Any time you take one factor & can make 2, after which 4, and then 16 - ya gotta know that is just misguided.

"& to perform that action hundreds and hundreds of times? That is known as exploitation, & that is against the User Agreement, the Rules of Conduct, & all that's holy.

"We have been more than kind, in the past, & everybody desires to own up to his/her errors & recognize: We all are part of the Guild Wars 2 gold game economy, & those that exploit it are hurting the rest of us.

"Exploit closed. Worst offenders terminated. That's what has to take place to make things right for all of us," Gray mentioned.
