Guild Wars 2 delivers permanent bans and what's going on

With certain games comes the risk of players trying to exploit aspects of it for their own benefit & "Guild Wars two" has been no one of a kind, with the punishment for such actions resulting in permanent bans.

According to a report from VG24/7 yesterday, a bunch of "Guild Wars two" players have actually been permanently banned as a result of them taking benefit of certain exploits that were revealed through the "Wintersday" event.

The exploit allowed players to craft items making use of 1 ectoplasm, which is a rare item in the gw2 gold game, and then salvage them to get two in exchange.

The players who have been banned have taken to Reddit to plead their instances with what has happened.

ArenaNet support rep Gaile Gray mentioned the those that were taking benefit of the exploit should've known it was wrong.

"Any time you take one factor & can make 2, after which 4, and then 16 - ya gotta know that is just misguided.

"& to perform that action hundreds and hundreds of times? That is known as exploitation, & that is against the User Agreement, the Rules of Conduct, & all that's holy.

"We have been more than kind, in the past, & everybody desires to own up to his/her errors & recognize: We all are part of the Guild Wars 2 gold game economy, & those that exploit it are hurting the rest of us.

"Exploit closed. Worst offenders terminated. That's what has to take place to make things right for all of us," Gray mentioned.
