Doable modify in WvW
Colin: Orange swords in WvW won't show if there are fewer than ~25 men and women after February's update (unsure exact quantity)
appears to be getting positive feedback so far, despite the fact that I haven't read by means of all of the comments however. thoughts?
This is possibly a fantastic counter to the 'zerg' nature of WvW right now.
It forces Guild Wars 2 gold players to have scouts & to have modest battles rather than one giant deathball that goes around all the swords and kills everything.
It will mean players will are compelled to co-ordinate.
Seeing a lot of the more 'hardcore' WvW who were not precisely the most welcoming to new players could be an difficulty.
I dont know about this....
A group of five can put up 2 guild catapults & tear down a wall speedily (enemy must see white swords then find the enemy). For a group of 5 to tear down the walls of an unupgraded tower take approx 4 minutes if not noticed. No swords will be displayed for less than ~ 25 GW2 gold players? Thats gonna be a bit dangerous.
I guess this is Anets answer to the percieved zerg difficulty. This will force groups to split up and have a further emphasis on scouts.
IMO, zergs werent a important concern in T1 as smaller groups were favored by more organized servers/guilds. I dont know much concerning the other tiers.

Guild Wars 2 - Bringing Antialiasing to the game
I do not know how I missed this as I'm type of an AA whore.. and anyone that has played any game with 4x SGSSAA then plays a Guild Wars 2 gold game that only supports FXAA can honestly recognise how huge a distinction this makes.. anyway this will let you get many correct MSAA + TrAA going on the game and is much much better than running fxaa or SMAA injector.. also in the report it tells you, you could use 2x SGSSAA but do not bother the AA bit you use does not support correct SGSAA so it doesn't look as fantastic as it will need to & drains performance more than using 4x MSAA + 4x Supersampling(transperancy) here's the piece of content.
Guild Wars 2 has FXAA built into the game, which is far superior to FXAA tacked on by means of video drivers. It also offers SSAA built into the GW2 gold game. If you don't like either of those, then you could likely force MSAA or SSAA by way of video drivers without needing external hardware.
Combining MSAA with SSAA is likely to be counterproductive, however it depends on exactly how it is applied. MSAA & SSAA do the same basic items, with the distinction being that MSAA is applied selectively (at edges of triangles) while SSAA is applied to everything. Dependent on specifically how they are applied, it is feasible that 4x MSAA + 4x SSAA could be precisely the same as 4x SSAA, or that the final image could be precisely the same as 4x SSAA while doing extra stuff for MSAA adds a larger efficiency hit. It is also plausible that there may be implicit 16x MSAA applied at triangle edges, which is wandering into ridiculous overkill.

What can a fan do to get that interest back into playing?
Would genuinely like comments from those that nonetheless play and still take pleasure in the game however I know that will be hard.
I have 3 level 80's, 100 exploration on 2 of them, and no desire to run fractals or other dungeons since my gear is the best I can get on all 3 toons. Minus a legendary which I've no desire in getting. I also no longer fancy myself a purveyor of PvP or WvW so thsoe are outs.
My question is there something in the game I might be doing to get my joy back? Maybe I burnt myself out yet I have no desire to use a 3rd party website to arrange dungeons, I've at all times been a huge proponent of a Dungeon Queing system particularly one like WoW. GW2 portrayed itself as a Guild Wars 2 gold game where dungeons would be easier to run because of no reliance on having to have specific classes though not having a dungeon finder exaserbates the circumstance just as much here as any other game lacking this feature.
Was really hoping the new live envent was worthy but it was downright silly in that I finished it in 1 night.
If your concept of a Sandbox is open FFA Full Loot PvP, full crafted world with minimal support for something combat then your sandbox concepts are bad! Sandbox denotes open world, non-linear gaming PERIOD!
should you aren't into PVP its hard to convey due to the fact thats my endgame in themepark games.. also fractals is lots of fun just running through them even in the event you aren't gong for asended gear.. my only suggestion is maybe try a major WvW guild or sPVP guild and get a number of good players to join up with and try it out then.. honestly adjustments the game when you have a excellent group to run with in PVP.. however in case you already have 3 80s & 100% explor on them all i'd say you put Plenty of hours into this gw2 gold game already and maybe it would be exceptional for a break... whilst the new guild quests are coming at the end of the month you might try those out.. NW beta is coming soon also.. hoping to get a crack at the foundry:P
oh also joining a major guild also helps a ton with dungeons however thats a given for all MMOs:)
If I had a mine shaft, I don't think I would just abandon it. There is got to be a better way.
I'm all PVE so unless they start adding DE metas like mad people I do not see how they are going to get me back. Dungeons are not for me. Got a lot of other games that do just that do not need a further one of the factors I acquired the game was it was supposed to be a change from that design.
I cannot say anything other then wait until what they have coming in March hopefully it will be as extravagant as they claim it will be.
So far I'm not seeing much that interests me anymore.
Even the carrot on the stick is gone for me.

Guild Wars 2 adjusts dynamic leveling process
ArenaNet's Isaiah Cartwright, lead game designer on Guild Wars 2, has posted a new dev blog to address the recent changes to the game's dynamic leveling program. In the establish of the game that went live on January 28th, the team made two major alterations to the way dynamic leveling works. First, the devs "altered the formula for how attributes are calculated when the dynamic leveling adjustment method scales [players' levels] down." This is intended to make players' returns to low-level zones "more fun and better balanced." Secondly, the team "transformed the formula for how rewards are calculated when scaled down to make it more gratifying for high-level Guild Wars 2 gold players to visit lower-level locations."
Cartwright claims that the objective of these adjustments is to "more accurately reflect the attributes [players] ought to have at that level for a similarly geared character" & adds that even if the modifications will increase the difficulty of many lower-level zones, the team desires to make sure that "all locations of Guild Wars 2 [are] thrilling and fun for players of any level." & last still without doubt not least, Cartwright notes that "in 2013, 1 of [ArenaNet's] main goals is to add more content to map of all levels, as well as stronger reward structures for playing across all locations in the world."
